2011-09-22 [Mortified Penguin]: It's just three voters though and I'm sure none of them/us would mind in the slightest. Plus, extending the deadline would get a lot more reference pictures than just closing the contest now and letting people submit their instrument pictures on their own time. People tend to never get around to submitting stuff if there isn't a deadline and the thrill of a poll afterward.

2011-09-23 [Mortified Penguin]: They clearly just forgot. I mean, [Kyrinn] and [Alexi Ice] seem somewhat interested in submitting. And honestly, who would be offended by this being reopened and the deadline being extended? Me? [Ihsahn]? No offensive, but it's doubtful.

2011-09-23 [Nioniel]: I think the question here is whether [Kyrinn] and [Alexi Ice] would actually submit to this session if it were reopened/extended. If not, there's really no point in opening it again. If so, then we'll discuss it and hold off the alarm for voting.

2011-09-23 [Mortified Penguin]: What's the worst that could happen if you did though? Nobody else submitting anything? Would that really be so bad that you wouldn't even want to try to extend the deadline? We're not running a serious business here, there's no need to be super strict about things like this.

2011-09-23 [windowframe]: I was planning to submit to it, but never got round to it. So... if it's opened again, I may submit. But then again, the incentive of a deadline clearly didn't work for me last time. XP Though for me, it's more about having someone help with taking the photos (so I could actually get shots of the instruments being played, rather than just sitting there).

Of course if we re-open it you can make a news item about it which might bring it to the attention of some people who missed it last time.

2011-09-23 [Kyrinn]: Ill enter if it opens back up. Ive been so busy lately that my home office finally slowed a bit and I discovered this contest. Since my son and I are musicians Ive got a few instruments laying around that would love some attention.
